What Are NDIS Household Tasks?

Household tasks, also known as domestic care or assistance with daily life, are NDIS-funded supports that help participants manage and maintain their home environment when disability prevents them from doing so independently or safely.

These supports are funded under Core Supports, Category 01: Assistance with Daily Life, and can be included in your NDIS plan if household activities are impacted by your disability.

Pet sitting and personal care may also be included depending on your plan. All tasks must be reasonable and necessary as a result of your disability.

Check your NDIS plan under Core Supports, Assistance with Daily Life. If you see funding in this category, household tasks may be accessible to you. Your Support Coordinator or Plan Manager can confirm exactly what is funded. This depends on your NDIS plan and your individual needs. Some participants receive support weekly, others fortnightly, and some require daily assistance. We work to a schedule that fits your life and is within your approved funding. If you need more frequent support than your current plan allows, we can help you make a case at your next plan review.
